Maynord and Guha are Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship winners
A team consisting of computer science Ph.D. students, Michael Maynord and Anupam Guha was one of eight winners nationwide of the annual Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship competition. The competition focused on recognizing, rewarding, and mentoring innovative Ph.D. students across a broad range of technical research areas. Maynord and Guha received a $100,000 fellowship for their project, “Feedback for Vision.” They will also receive mentoring from Qualcomm engineers.
In addition to Maryland, winning teams were selected from MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia University and the University of Texas, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and the University of Washington. Qualcomm received a total of 129 applications nationwide.
